Privacy Policy
Last updated October 29, 2026
This policy explains what information The LaMoney Co. collects when you visit this site, book a consultation or work with us — and what we do with it. It is written to be read once, in plain language.
1. Who we are
The LaMoney Co. is a virtual interior decorating consultancy founded in Dallas, Texas and serving clients across the United States. For the purposes of data protection law, The LaMoney Co. is the controller of the personal information described in this policy.
Questions about this policy, or a request about your information, can be sent to hello@thelamoneyco.com.
2. Information you give us
We only collect what we need to schedule your session, design your space and stay in touch with you. That usually means:
- Contact details: your name, email address and, if you provide it, your phone number.
- Booking details: the package you chose, the session date and time, and any answers you give in the scheduling form.
- Project information: photographs, floor plans, measurements, room descriptions, links to inspiration, and the budget and constraints you share with us.
- Payment information: confirmation that a payment was made, the amount and the last four digits of the card. Your full card number is entered directly with our payment processor and is never seen or stored by us.
- Anything you send us by email or through the contact form on this site, including your message and our reply.
- Written feedback, revisions and approved decisions during and after your session.
3. Information collected automatically
This site is a simple marketing and booking site. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not build behavioural profiles of visitors.
- Cookie preference: when you choose Accept or Essential only on our cookie notice, that choice is saved in your own browser. It does not identify you and is not sent to us.
- Server logs: our hosting provider records basic technical information — such as the page requested, the time and general region of the request — to keep the site running and secure. These logs are not used to identify individual visitors.
- Third-party pages: when you open our scheduling calendar or payment page, those providers may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies.
4. How we use your information
- To confirm and hold your consultation, and to send you the joining details.
- To hold the session and produce your deliverables — mood boards, layouts, sourcing lists, notes and video walkthroughs.
- To answer your questions before and after your session.
- To process payments, refunds and rescheduling.
- To keep the records we need for tax, accounting and legal purposes.
- To improve how the studio works — for example, understanding which packages clients ask about most — using information that has been aggregated or de-identified where possible.
6. Why we are allowed to use it
If you are in a jurisdiction that requires us to identify a legal basis — for example the United Kingdom or the European Union — we rely on: performance of our contract with you (holding your session and delivering your design); our legitimate interests (running and protecting the studio, and answering enquiries); your consent (where you have given it, such as for portfolio use of your project images); and compliance with legal obligations (such as tax records).
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us.
7. Your rights
Subject to the law where you live, you may:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.
- Ask us to restrict or object to certain uses, including direct marketing.
- Ask for a portable copy of information you gave us.
- Ask us not to use images of your project in our portfolio.
Email hello@thelamoneyco.com and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
If you believe we have handled your information badly, you are welcome to tell us first — most issues can be resolved directly. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
8. How long we keep it
- Project files, photographs and deliverables: kept while you are an active client and afterwards so we can answer follow-up questions, unless you ask us to delete them.
- Payment and tax records: kept for as long as the law requires, which is typically seven years in the United States.
- Enquiries that do not become bookings: kept for up to two years, then deleted.
- Portfolio images: kept until you ask us to remove them.
9. How we protect it
Your information is held in reputable, access-controlled services, and only the founder — who runs every consultation personally — has routine access to client files. Payments are processed by a PCI-compliant provider and card numbers never reach us.
No system is perfectly secure, and no method of transmission over the internet is completely safe. If a breach ever affected your information, we would notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.
10. Children
Our services are intended for adults. This site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the studio or the law changes. The version published on this page at the time you book is the version that applies to your booking. If a change materially affects how we use information you have already given us, we will tell you by email.
12. Contact
Privacy questions and requests: hello@thelamoneyco.com. We answer personally, usually within one business day.
