Terms of Service
Last updated October 29, 2026
These terms cover every consultation The LaMoney Co. provides. They are written to be read, not skimmed past — if anything here is unclear, email us before you book and we will walk you through it.
1. Agreement to these terms
The LaMoney Co. is a virtual interior decorating consultancy founded in Dallas, Texas and serving clients across the United States. These Terms of Service form the agreement between you and The LaMoney Co. when you book a consultation, pay an invoice, or use any plan, mood board, layout, sourcing list or other material we deliver.
By booking or paying, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and that you accept these terms on your own behalf. If you are booking for a business or on someone else's behalf, you confirm you are authorised to agree to these terms for them.
2. What we provide
We provide design advice and documentation: live consultation sessions held over Google Meet, and the written and visual deliverables described in the package you book — mood boards, room layout maps, sourcing lists, design notes, branded PDFs and a video walkthrough.
The service is advisory and consultative only. Specifically:
- We do not purchase, order, hold, deliver, assemble or install furniture, fixtures or materials on your behalf.
- We do not manage, contract with or supervise contractors, tradespeople, installers or delivery services.
- We do not provide construction, architectural, engineering, structural, electrical, plumbing, permitting or code-compliance services, and nothing we deliver is a construction drawing, a permit submission or a specification for structural work.
- We do not guarantee a specific visual, financial or resale outcome. The result depends on the decisions you make and how the plan is executed.
3. Booking and payment
Consultations are booked through our scheduling calendar and paid through our payment processor. Your card details are handled by the processor and are never stored by us.
- Every package is paid in full at the time of booking. There is no deposit to track and no balance owed afterwards — the price you see is the whole price.
- A session is not confirmed until the required payment has cleared. If payment fails, the slot may be released to another client.
- All prices are in U.S. dollars. Prices may change, but the price shown when you booked is the price that applies to your booking.
- You are responsible for any taxes, duties or card fees that apply to your purchase, other than taxes on our own income.
4. Rescheduling, cancellations and no-shows
- You may reschedule once at no charge up to 24 hours before your session start time.
- If you cancel 48 hours or more before your session, we refund what you paid for that session, less any non-recoverable payment processing fees.
- If you cancel less than 48 hours before your session, the payment is not refundable, but you may reschedule once within 60 days of the original date.
- If you have not joined the session 15 minutes after the start time, the session is treated as a no-show and as a cancellation inside 48 hours.
- If we cancel or cannot hold the session, you choose between a full refund of the amount paid for that session and a rescheduled session at no additional cost.
5. Deliverables and the 48-hour window
Deliverables are sent to the email address on your booking and are delivered digitally. The 48-hour delivery window begins when your live session ends.
The window is measured in calendar hours, not business hours, and it is a delivery commitment, not a guarantee of a particular outcome. If we miss the window for any reason within our control, we will provide one additional round of revisions at no charge.
6. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate photographs, measurements, floor plans and information about the space, including rental restrictions, HOA rules, ceiling heights and any fixed elements.
- Tell us your real budget, and tell us if it changes. A plan built to an inaccurate budget is not a defect in the plan.
- Make decisions and give consolidated feedback within the session and during revision rounds.
- Verify all measurements, product dimensions, finishes, lead times, delivery conditions and return policies before you buy or install anything. Because we are not on site, the final check is yours.
- Make sure any work that requires a licensed professional — structural, electrical, plumbing, gas, permitting or installation — is designed and performed by an appropriately licensed professional.
7. Revisions
Each package includes a set number of revision rounds, stated on the package description and in this site's package listings. A revision round is one consolidated set of feedback, not an unlimited series of individual changes.
Additional revision rounds are available at an hourly rate quoted and agreed in writing before the additional work begins.
8. Sourcing, products and third parties
Our sourcing lists contain links to products sold by third-party retailers. We are not the seller, manufacturer, importer or distributor of any product we specify, and we receive no commission, affiliate payment or other compensation from any retailer for anything we recommend.
- Prices, availability, lead times, finishes and specifications are set by the retailer and can change without notice. A listed price is not a quote and is not held for you.
- Nothing is reserved, ordered or held on your behalf. You purchase directly from the retailer, and your contract for those goods is with that retailer.
- We make no warranty about any product — including its quality, safety, durability, fitness for a purpose, compliance with any standard, or availability.
- Defects, damage, delays, returns, refunds, warranty claims and delivery problems are handled by the retailer under their terms.
- If a product is discontinued or out of stock, we can suggest an alternative. That is part of the advice, but sourcing an exact replacement is not guaranteed unless your package says so.
9. Our work, your licence and portfolio use
We own the copyright in the designs, drawings, mood boards, layouts, written materials and PDFs we create. When you pay in full, we grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive licence to use those materials for your own personal, non-commercial use in the home or space described in your booking.
You may not resell, sublicense, publish, distribute, or reuse our materials for other properties, for rental or short-let staging, for a commercial space, or as part of any product or service you offer, without our written permission.
We may show images of completed work in our portfolio, on our website and on social media. We never publish your address, and we will not identify you by name without your permission. If you would prefer that we never use images from your project, tell us in writing and we will not.
10. Photographs and material you send us
You confirm that you have the right to share the photographs, floor plans and other material you send us — for example, that you own them, took them, or have the owner's permission. You give us permission to use that material for the purpose of producing your deliverables and for the portfolio use described above.
We keep your photographs and project files confidential and do not sell them or share them with third parties for marketing.
11. Professional disclaimer
Our advice is based on the information, photographs and measurements you provide and on the conditions you describe. We are not on site and cannot verify dimensions, conditions, concealed defects, building systems or local code requirements.
We are not licensed architects, engineers, contractors or tradespeople, and we do not hold ourselves out as providing those services. Any statement about layout, wall position, lighting or built-in elements is design guidance, not an instruction to alter a structure. Any work that affects a building's structure, electrical, gas, plumbing or life-safety systems must be reviewed and performed by a licensed professional in your jurisdiction.
Design advice is a matter of professional judgement. We do not warrant that a design will be to your taste once executed, that products will look as they appear on screen, or that colours and finishes will render identically across devices and lighting conditions.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the service — whether in contract, tort, negligence, statute or otherwise — is limited to the total amount you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, loss of opportunity, loss of enjoyment, or the cost of products purchased, replaced or returned. This includes losses arising from product defects or delays, retailer conduct, contractor or installer conduct, your decisions to depart from the plan, or changes in budget or circumstance.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The LaMoney Co. from claims, losses, costs and reasonable legal fees arising from material you provided that you did not have the right to provide, from your use of our deliverables outside the licence in these terms, or from your breach of these terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and both parties consent to those courts' jurisdiction.
Before filing anything, email us at hello@thelamoneyco.com with a description of the issue, and give us 30 days to try to resolve it with you directly. Most problems are a scheduling or delivery issue and can be fixed in a day.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the practice changes. The version published on this page at the time you book is the version that applies to your booking. Changes apply to future bookings only and do not alter rights already granted to you.
16. Contact
Questions about these terms, your booking or a refund: hello@thelamoneyco.com. We answer personally, usually within one business day.
